First held in 1950 but cancelled in 1955, it was revived in 1988. Jack Heuer’s famous Carrera chronograph - released in 1963 - paid homage to this one-of-a-kind event.

The Heuer Carrera is conceived at the 12 Hours of Sebring, where Jack Heuer, official timekeeper of the event, first hears of the legendary Carrera Panamericana Mexico Road Race. His imagination soars, he creates the chronograph design for professional drivers.
Every member of Ferrari’s Grand Prix Scuderia, with whom Heuer had signed on as Official Sponsor and Timekeeper, receives a solid gold Heuer Carrera engraved with his name and blood type.
The company puts TAG Heuer Carrera back into the light with the first re-edition.
